Country House Wedding Venue | Hotham Hall Estate

Intimate Weddings

Timeless elegance, exclusively yours

Celebrate in the beautifully restored rooms of a Grade II* listed Georgian country house, with our own team looking after you and your guests from the first drink to the last dance.

Why Hotham Hall

A country house with timeless character

Built in 1720 and carefully restored, Hotham Hall is one of the finest Georgian country houses in Yorkshire. Its soaring ceilings, original panelling, and the soft chime of the clock tower give the house a character that is hard to find elsewhere.

Every wedding at Hotham Hall is shaped by the estate itself. The King Edward Ballroom seats up to 48 wedding breakfast guests, while the Drawing Room offers a refined setting for up to 60, with the formal gardens and marquee lawn extending the possibilities for larger celebrations.

Your hire includes the main hallway, the King Edward Ballroom, the Prince of Wales Library Bar, the Drawing Room, the Study, and the Oak Room, with a late licence until 1am and exclusive use of the south-facing formal gardens. The gardens offer a beautiful outdoor ceremony option against the Georgian Hall, while the nearby woodland island, beside a peaceful lake, provides an alternative for up to 80 guests. Five bedrooms in the Hall and a further 12 en-suite suites at The Carriage House, including the Bridal Suite and a two-bedroom suite for four, sleep up to 36 guests.
