Acquired by Linda and David Kilburn, in 2020 they see themselves merely as the current custodians. Hotham Hall is not just a home but a blossoming venue where history, luxury, and the tranquillity of nature blend seamlessly.
Under the loving stewardship of Linda and her right-hand, Rachel, Hotham Hall has undergone a transformation, evolving into a haven for those seeking an escape into elegance and serenity. Our journey began with the desire to share the Hall’s grandeur and charm today, but more importantly to ensure a long-term future by creating income streams so it can be preserved and enjoyed for centuries to come.
We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to restore and enhance the Hall, Gardens and Grounds for weddings and events, using only carefully selected materials and commissioning the very best trades people in the area.
Expanding Our Horizons
The journey of Hotham Hall is one of continual growth and aspiration. It’s hoped the Hall’s parkland will play host to an array of events, from operatic performances to charity fundraisers and classic car festivals, each event adding to the tapestry of memories woven within its grounds. As we look to the future, plans to convert outbuildings into nine additional 5-star luxury suites and transform machine sheds into a larger events space are underway. This expansion will allow us to welcome more guests, making the hall an even more versatile venue for celebrations, corporate events, and retreats. – Moreover, the introduction of a members club, complete with a restaurant, bar, and private dining facilities, is poised to create a vibrant community hub, offering a new level of luxury and exclusivity for our guests.
At Hotham Hall, we believe in the power of community and the ripple effect of supporting local businesses. Our developments not only aim to enhance the guest experience but also to contribute significantly to the local economy, partnering with local suppliers from audio engineers to wedding planners.
Our vision for Hotham Hall is rooted in creating a place of joy, relaxation, and unparalleled hospitality. The recent proposal to introduce a spa is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the Hotham Hall experience. Inspired by Japanese design, this sanctuary will blend into the landscape, offering guests a space for rejuvenation and tranquillity, complete with treatment rooms, a yoga studio, and a pool designed to accommodate and delight up to 30 guests.
