Accommodation at Hotham Hall
Seventeen rooms across the estate
Hotham Hall Estate offers 17 luxury bedrooms across two distinct buildings, each with its own character. The five rooms within the Hall carry the grandeur of a Grade II* listed Georgian country house, furnished by Woods of Harrogate.
The Carriage House was restored from the original stable block and offers something different in tone, though equal in quality. Its rooms combine Andrew Martin interiors with carefully curated antiques, and most are designed for double occupancy, including one spacious two-bedroom suite. Every room comes with smart-tech controls, and rooms can be booked for an overnight stay or as part of an event.
The Carriage House
The Hotham Suite
The most spacious and romantic room, in champagne, ivory and gold. An oak four-poster dominates the bedroom and the lounge has a vaulted ceiling, original trusses and antique chandelier. French doors open out onto a balcony with views stretching across the Estate. The marble tile bathroom has a freestanding bath beneath an arched window, walk-in shower, twin basins and gilt mirrors.
The Carriage House
The Clocktower Suite
One of the most distinctive rooms, in soft blue-grey with a tall piped headboard in linen. A navy velvet quilt sits over crisp white linen. The sitting area has an exposed stone chimney breast, a timber mezzanine and an old plank door, all kept as they were. A hammered brass mirror and a patterned kilim finish the room.
The Carriage House · Accessible
Suite One
Warm terracotta tones run through this ground-floor suite, which is step-free and gives views across the courtyard garden. Arched glass windows and doors let light into the bedroom, with herringbone brick floors and reclaimed timber above the headboard nodding to the building's working past. Andrew Martin fabrics bring colour and pattern to the soft furnishings, whilst the wet room provides a clean, modern, and totally accessible space to freshen up.
The Carriage House · Family Suite
Suite Two
A family or friends' suite with its own identity in cobalt, indigo and ivory. The shared lounge is generous and softly lit, with a deep cream sofa, original art and blue-and-white ceramics. One bedroom is dressed in navy with a bold, contemporary print overhead. The other has a patterned blue headboard that looks like hand-painted tile. The bathrooms are as characterful as the bedrooms, with a freestanding bath against an exposed stone wall, jewel-blue glass basins and brass fittings.
The Carriage House
Suite Three
A calm, airy suite in powder blue-grey, with a sculpted headboard and deep navy velvet. Herringbone brick floors, a cowhide rug and an oak post echo the coach house's rural heritage. A sash window overlooks the grounds, with a blue-and-white ginger jar on the sill. The marble-effect shower room is fresh and bright, with brushed brass details.
The Carriage House
Suite Four
A feminine, playful suite in blush pink and raspberry, where striped upholstery frames the bed and ruby-shaded lamps add colour. Original oak beams rise overhead and the sash windows let in plenty of light. A carved wingback chair, a painted chest of drawers and a bold abstract painting give the room a lived-in, collected feel. There's a sitting area at the foot of the bed.
The Carriage House
Bedroom Five
A quieter, more neutral bedroom in soft stone, taupe and navy. Sculpted headboards in monochrome patterns set the tone, with toile curtains, furry throws and a barley-twist bench. Exposed timber beams, soft carpet and a small ensuite make the room feel cosy and restful. A good choice for guests who prefer a gentler palette.
The Carriage House
Bedroom Six
A calming space, in soft stone, taupe and charcoal. Exposed timber beams, soft carpet and a small ensuite make the room feel cosy and restful.
The Carriage House
Suite Seven
A fresh, leafy suite in sage and apple green. A green-and-white striped headboard sits beneath a heavy oak beam, with a studded velvet sofa and a brass-and-glass coffee table at the foot of the bed. The botanical prints on the walls and the traditional fireplace in the bathroom add period charm, and a stone basin on a live-edge shelf keeps things natural.
The Carriage House · Twin Room
Suite Eight
A bright twin room under a vaulted ceiling with rustic beams. Two arched headboards in a vivid raspberry ikat sit above crisp white linen and chunky green mohair throws. Linen curtains with a bold red edge frame the garden view, and a fleur-de-lis lamp and botanical print add a traditional touch. A good fit for friends and family.
The Carriage House
Suite Nine
The most enveloping of the rooms: apricot walls, dark timber trusses and a sloping ceiling make a snug, glowing retreat. A floral headboard, a tufted coral sofa and a vibrant kilim bring layers of pattern, while the bathroom stays calm with a creamy stone basin and brass taps.
The Carriage House
Suite Ten
A bold, characterful room in raspberry, crimson and white, in an attic space with rooflights and original beams. A triple-arched geometric headboard stands out over a quilted crimson velvet throw, and a striped wing chair and vintage trunks add a collected feel. There's a small low window with a view of the courtyard, and a writing desk for those who need to work.
The Hall
William Burton
Named after the man who built Hotham Hall in 1720, this light and airy room is dressed in blue and white, set against dark wood furniture. It leads through to a contemporary en-suite shower room.

The Hall
Stracey Clitherow
A south-facing suite in soft, neutral tones, with a comfortable lounge and an open fireplace. The generous bathroom is made for a long, unhurried soak.

The Hall
Alice Princep
Bold arsenic green walls set the scene in this room, with rich patterns and a four-poster bed. The en-suite is finished in gold, carrying the room’s Eastern influences through.

The Hall
George Metham
Inspired by early 20th-century French design, this room pairs patterned walls and stylish upholstery with a dramatic black-panelled bathroom and a freestanding bath. Tall sash windows look out across the grounds.

The Hall
Alice Keppel
The Hall’s bridal room is decorated in calming greens, with a carved four-poster bed and views over the gardens. Its en-suite shower room takes inspiration from the Château d’Ussé in France.
