A private estate built for celebration
Hotham Hall is a Grade II* listed Georgian house with its own kitchen team and over 120 acres of private grounds. It feels grand, but it is also warm and relaxed, which is what makes a party here work.
Exclusive use comes as standard. From the moment your guests arrive, the entire estate is yours. The Georgian rooms of the Hall, The Carriage House and Colonel Jack's Bar, the formal gardens, and the parkland beyond all become part of your celebration. For the day, it feels like your own house.
The Georgian rooms of the Hall, comprising the King Edward Ballroom, Prince of Wales Library Bar, Drawing Room, and Study, provide an unmatched setting for formal dinners, drinks receptions, and seated celebrations, with the main hallway and Oak Room adding further character and versatility. The Carriage House brings a different energy entirely, its contemporary event spaces flooded with natural light and a spacious courtyard ideal for summer celebrations, with Colonel Jack's Bar at its heart and twelve en-suite suites, including a spectacular Bridal Suite, allowing guests to stay on the estate. For larger occasions, the formal gardens and marquee lawn accommodate up to 200 guests, with the seven-acre event field extending this to 300 and beyond.

Choose from the Georgian rooms of the Hall, including the King Edward Ballroom, the Prince of Wales Library Bar, the Drawing Room, and the Study, or celebrate in The Carriage House's contemporary event spaces alongside Colonel Jack's Bar. We host a wide range of private celebrations, including milestone birthdays, anniversary dinners, engagement parties, retirement celebrations, and family gatherings. If you have an occasion in mind, our team would love to discuss how the estate can bring it to life.

We welcome intimate gatherings of a handful of guests right through to larger celebrations for up to 100 guests within the Hall and Carriage House spaces. For events above this, please contact our team directly to discuss the options available across the wider estate.

Yes. All food and drink is provided by our in-house culinary team. Our chefs create bespoke menus tailored to your occasion, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Our drinks packages are equally personalised to complement your event.

Yes. The Hall offers five bedrooms, and The Carriage House provides 12 en-suite suites. Please note that one of the 12 suites is a two-bedroom suite, which provides occupancy for four guests.
