This December, Hotham Hall Estate is hosting Christmas parties and a special Sunday Club afternoon, along with a carol concert in the Hall in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Here is what we have planned, and how to book.
The Christmas Sunday Club
The Sunday Club is a regular afternoon at the estate that pairs a long, unhurried meal with live music, and the Christmas edition follows the same rhythm. Guests are welcomed from 2:00pm with drinks and canapés in the bar of The Carriage House, and the meal begins at 3:00pm with music playing throughout. Afterwards, the Members’ Bar and Club Rooms stay open, so the afternoon can carry on into the evening for anyone who would like it to. The estate’s own kitchen prepares every dish, and dates and bookings for The Sunday Club are listed on the events page.
Christmas Parties
As a Christmas party venue in Yorkshire, Hotham Hall hosts celebrations in a Grade II* listed Georgian house, with Colonel Jack’s Bar close by for the later part of the evening. Every menu is cooked by the estate’s own kitchen, and no outside caterers are involved. Groups who would like the whole estate to themselves can read more on the exclusive venue hire page, and businesses planning a team Christmas can look at corporate events.
A Carol Concert in Support of Macmillan
On 17 December 2026, Hessle Theatre Group will perform a Christmas carol concert in East Yorkshire, held in the Hall in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. It is a chance to hear familiar carols in a Georgian house while backing a charity that supports people living with cancer. The estate hosts fundraising events throughout the year too, and details of what can be arranged are available on enquiry.
