Join us at Hotham Hall for an intimate day of cooking, conversation and festive entertaining with acclaimed cookery author Amy Willcock, with exclusive access to the private rooms of the Hall.
Best known for her much-loved cookery books, including The Aga Bible, Aga Cooking and At Home with Amy Willcock, Amy is renowned for her delicious, uncomplicated food and wonderfully relaxed approach to entertaining.
With Christmas approaching, Amy will share clever recipes, shortcuts and tried-and-tested ideas to take the pressure out of entertaining and help make gatherings with family and friends feel effortless and special.
The day begins with morning coffee in the Library at Hotham Hall, before moving into the Hall’s private kitchen for an intimate cookery demonstration.
Amy will prepare a delicious get-ahead recipe, perfect for Christmas or a dinner party, alongside her brilliantly simple cheat’s Christmas pudding, easy canapé ideas and her own take on vin d’orange. Throughout the demonstration, expect plenty of Amy’s hints, tricks and entertaining secrets, practical ideas to recreate at home throughout the festive season and beyond.
Following the demonstration, guests will make their way to the newly completed Carriage House, where a delicious two course lunch will be served.
After lunch, we’ll return to the Main Hall and the beautiful Drawing Room for a little festive inspiration. Here, guests will discover a beautifully styled Christmas table, with Amy sharing her own ideas on the art of entertaining and those thoughtful finishing touches that make a gathering memorable.
There will also be time to ask Amy questions and browse a specially curated festive gift showcase by Kirkgate House Eclectic Living, featuring beautiful gifts, homeware and entertaining finds available to purchase.
